ボート屋です。カタマランの特性を生かすには平らな出っ張り(凹)にしてしまうとヤジロベエのようにならず、横波だと危険です。大変ではありますが山（全体で見れば谷︼)にしたほうが直進性も上がります。オールは穴を開けてしまうと強度が足りないです。市販品はプラスチックで巻いて補強してあります。あとトランサムですがクロスだけでは国産船外機を載せた時強度が足りないので、チョップマットで積層したほうが良いです。＋上部だけアルミ角パイプで補強すると万全です。
バウの船底もチョップマットで補強しないと石で摩耗して水が入ると思います。

スタイロフォームを漁具やボードの材料に使わない理由は水を吸うからです
必ず発泡スチロールを使いましょう
20年ほど前耐水ベニヤ板にガラスクロスとポリ樹脂で貼ってカヤックっをつくったことがあります。スタイロフォームで作ると軽いんでしょうね。 勉強になりました

やっぱり世の中は広い。同じ事考えて、実践している方がいるもんですね。
自分は2馬力エンジン+ゴムボートで海釣りをしていますが、ＰＶＣ製でもそこそこ重いんですよね。
ボートに改良を加えて、スピードが時速11km/h位出ますが、もう少し出したくて(15km以上)、スタイロとFRPで喫水の高いカヤックみたいなのにサブフロート付きを作ろうかと考え中でした。
かなり参考になります。

ヨットの様にセンターボード欲しいですね。安定性抜群ですし直進性も抜群です。引っくり返ってもセンターボードを利用して起こすことも出来ます。
