Hey guys today I played a new metro zero build that uses scavenger that has seen a bit of play recently in ranked. With a lot of players using starwing these days I wanted to try something different and this seemed like a strong option. It uses scavenger to out pace the economy of other players in the game and then combines this with Metro Zero later in the game to create a strong build. This build works great with Nana, Guinevere, and Fanny.
I played about 10 games on this today and placed 1st in 8 and 3rd in 2 games. I noticed that the more Nana’s in the game the better this build did. Against early rollers I struggled a little and I think I prefer the starwing build against them, but against other late game players this build is definitely the strongest because you reach 3 stars while they are often still searching.
Also depending on when you get scavenger could greatly change the effectiveness of this build, in my games today I received scavenger quite late but if you receive it early then you could really snowball hard.
In this game, I started off with the Nana trick to get 10 gold round 1 and some items. For my first card I took full throttle as I want to hit level 9 as quickly as possible. I would have taken “book of war” card if full throttle wasn’t available. I sell some units for 20 gold and play out the early game as I do in most of my builds where I am just playing whatever I can find in the shop.
For the auction, I highly recommend not going for +1 unless you can get it for under 6 gold. You will be “low” hp in most games and will be able to take +1 from fate box later on. I recommend going for 2x 4 star hero if available, or just spending 0 gold for an item.
For my second card I took payday to further increase my leveling speed. Reinforcement would also be a fine card because a lot of 4 gold heroes are in this build so you are likely to receive at least 1 hero you need.
From monster rounds I recommend grabbing Mage items as Yve/Chang’e will be your main damage in the late game.
In fate box prioritize +1 -> crystals -> items. If you need 1 specific hero left to complete the build then grab a hero.
For my last card I had two choices, solid alliance or healing fountain. I always take healing fountain card when it is up. It is just too strong to not take. Solid Alliance would have been a great choice though as a metro build.
Always get the blessing on one of your scavenger heroes, use blessing shifter if you don’t receive the scavenger blessing. Once you reach 3/3 with the blessing your economy becomes extremely strong.
Your main goal now it to get to level 9 and start completing your build and searching for 3 star of Yve, Chang’e or Baxia.
Main build at level 9 (8 Synergy if no +1, 10 synergy if Fanny or +1).

If you receive +1 or using commander Fanny add in Irithel for 10 synergies.
This gives 2 Metro, 4 Stargazer, 3 Scavenger, 2 Dauntless, 2 Defender, 2 Shadowcell, 2 Aspirant, 2 Luminexus If you add irithel you will gain Doomsworn and Marksman for 10 synergies.
In this game I didn't use these exact heroes (replaced Irithel with Argus) but that was because I received a crystal so I had used Argus instead for more frontline.

I've seen a variation of this build against this main build. The variation lineup is almost the same, but instead of irithel and hanzo, he used martis and moscov. I think both builds have their own pros and cons.
