  1. Just updated the new firmware onto the DJI Air 2s and the screen RC controller. Why is there still no waypoints with the new update on the DJI RC Controller? Will this work with the RC Controller that comes with the andriod screen attached to the remote?
I find the original controller frustrating to use.

  2. Excellent firmware review, just a simple question regarding the new function of deactivating the downward sensors. Would that make it easier to land the drone in the hand without tending to take distance or having to catch it in automatic landing mode?

  3. Great info. I also live and work in Hull.
I was born here so I am a full Kingstonian.

Anyway, im baffling but just came across you channel and doing a little research because I have just purchased a DJI Mini 3 Pro RC and its superb.

    Thanks Gavin.

    Andy.

  4. Using the obstacle avoidance sensors as a camera I guess you can see your surroundings (if something or someone is approaching your drone like a seagull or a bird of prey, or if you're in someone else's path, you can even check if you see a message about vibration, if it's coming from your motors working abnormally), without the need to change your direction, so you get an almost 360' camera.

  5. Hi Gavin, Im guessing there is no point downloading this for my mini 3 pro ?
Can you assist with another issue please?…………I keep getting a message on start up of my RC controller "flight record storage limit reached" and a prompt to "upload now". tapping the screen it then takes you to the "flight data centre" and it shows a long list of all the flights I have done, but then no further instructions on where or how to upload it all. This often comes up just after I have put the drone in flight and dangerous to me as I lose sight of the drone on screen. Do you get this on your RC? How do I upload or clear the data to stop this showing onscreen. Thanks Jon

  6. Guv! Thanks for the review. Good as usual. Landing shadow been around for a bit. Very useful, glad DJI implemented this. Virtual home Point….I like it. Using the OA cameras…I like it. Soon we will have BVLOS and those cameras will help with sit awareness until they do something better. Besides, I would love to have a 360 view from the drone POV, inspections, tight spaces….

  7. ive been Drone pilot now 2 and half year i have updated my firmware to this i do not like the ladys new speach voice its horible i dont like it is their any way to get the old voice back any way to get it back

  8. Thx for the review on the updates. The one update that I’d like to see, would be to be able to go into ATTI mode; I believe every UAS pilot should be able to to fly and controls the drone without GPS.

  9. 7:30 I used the rear view camera yesterday. I was framing a shot of new construction and needed to back up the drone. There's a hotel behind the drone. Normally you would have to turn all the way around, fly a bit toward the hotel, turn around again and see if you have framed the shot. Repeat until you get it. But with the rear-view camera it is easy to see that the hotel is not immediately behind the drone and not lose the framing. It greatly speeds this sort of thing.

  10. I normally fly with Litchi, but keep the aircraft firmware up to date with Fly, so d/l it this morning, went to check for firmware updates on my Mini 2 and Air 2S but there was nothing for either.

  11. The RTH path indication could prove useful, if you realize the drone is planning to come back through obstacles. It may or may not be able to avoid those, buy it is always good for the pilot to be aware of that situation.
For me, all other landings aids are not particular important, as I never bother land the drone on the ground. I always hand launch and hand land it.

  12. I think all the additional things as in the H highlighted, and the flashing channel that takes you back to where you came from. Is it great addition and I’ve been flying drone since 2016

  13. You are the only person that I’ve seen reviewing the new sensor camera features who can’t see how useful this feature is for those of us who fly manually when orbiting, going backwards and sideways. Having it on the screen helps greatly.

When taking video for professional purposes, I need to keep my eye on the screen to frame and alter my camera if need be while in the recording process. I can’t be looking up all the time to see if anything is around. The sensor camera are a great new feature!

  14. Hey yo guys….

I've been using 1.5.10 for the mini 2 for a long ass time…. I'm only just discovering now that the DJI removed their in app video editor after this release….

WHY THAT THING WAS USEFUL. WHY DID THEY DO THIS? so strange. AUTEL still has theirs.

  15. No, it's not just you. IMHO, the point is care control, they have enough data now to strategize specifically for x, y, z. It's a cost control update. Just after receiving a complete care replacement for a downward error sensor, I was hand landing my m3p and as soon as I grasped it (like a hundred times before) it went full throttle and screened an unsuitable landing area message. I'm comfortable and capable hand landing with my drones but how many are not? Thankfully, the drone records all errors like that so if they keep tinkering and crashing drones, expect more cost saving updates.

  16. That frame guide will be usefull in the Air 2s to film in 5.4K which results in a vertical video with a little more resolution than the mini3pro vertical.
Sadly dji still don't allow the 2S to film in vertical but cropping the ending video directly on the drone. But at least this function allows to compose the shot and crop the video in post.

  17. Man, you are so short sighted…
AR Return to Home can give you an idea of the exact path your drone will take back to the home point. Maybe, it was going to pass through a bunch of power lines or over a crowd of people and you'd like to avoid that.
Vision Assist will be helpful doing manual orbits, flying backwards, indoors/ tight quarters, filming bird's eye view shots, manual tracking a subject, flying with OA off, or just scoping out your surroundings.
Drone Shadow could be good if you have a small area to land on.
Disable Flight Sensors is awesome for those that hand catch or for flying low. I flew my Mavic 3 under a truck yesterday.

I bet you complain that your water is too wet or your ice cream is too cold.
