I repeat DOING THIS ON A NETWORK OR HARDWARE THAT YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO TEST IS ILLEGAL, this video solely demonstrates the technical aspect of this protocol vulnerability to allow for a better understanding of it's vector of attack and consequently make mitigation easier.
As an additional security step, disable auto reconnect on all your wifi devices which protects against a bunch of stuff like this.
As for whether it's "patched", this has been fixed in modern versions of wifi protocols like WPA3 and WPA2 with protected frames, but since most ISPs only send out the cheapest 5$ chinese routers when buying an internet connection sometimes these are found in your own home or acquaintances home.
