The only method to deactivate a Samsung account from a phone without a password is to contact Samsung to locate and delete the account. If you wish to begin the procedure on your Samsung phone, follow the comprehensive instructions below.
- Unlock your phone, then launch the Samsung phone settings app from the app drawer.
- Scroll down until you see "Cloud and Accounts." Also, on the next page, select the "Accounts" tab.
- Then, from the choices, select "Samsung Accounts" and then "My profile." When prompted to enter your email address and password on the account screen, select "Forgot your ID and Password." A popup will appear on the screen; from there, select your preferred browser.

Thank you Timmy. I will bookmark this video as I'm using a Chromebook. Wish I'd seen this before I did a powerwash on my old chromebook as I lost all my documents and bookmarks. That chromebook's battery died a few weeks later, so I started using this one, a spare chromebook I'd bought from a friend, but had only used before for a brief time. The good news is – when I was using it briefly about 5 – 6 months ago, it seems I DID put my chromebook account onto it! So when I had to start using it recently as my only internet capable computer (I have a real old Dell desktop with Windows 2000 on it. Internet doesnt work (It's from dial up days), but I do all my writing on it.) all my bookmarks and documents I'd saved, magically re-appeared! I was so happy as I thought I'd lost them forever.
I'm 73 years old and not tech savvy at all. I have a question for you. My first chromebook with the battery that, died and doesn't work any more. Is it possible for me to buy a new battery for it, and install it?? It would be nice to have it as back-up.
