I bought a new computer for my mom who only uses it to get on the internet and does not want to use a password to use her computer after she turns it on.
Well because I had to use my Microsoft account to even configure her new computer with Windows 11, I could not for the life of me figure out how to disassociate my personal MS account from my Mom's computer. Every change I made was affecting my personal account.
I wanted to make this disassociation because she does not use any MS apps but only uses the computer to get on the Internet. Also, windows 11 was forcing me to use a password for her new computer after the computer started (I had to use MY personal MS user account password to login) but we didn't want to have login with anything. Just start the computer and GO.
I just about gave up hope and then I came across your video where I made the disassociation. Then I was able to change the sign-on options from there. THANKS again!

In future versions of consumer editions of Windows 11, you will no longer be able to unlink your Microsoft account from your user profile. You should take this time now and verify that your or your child's Microsoft Account is linked to the correct user profile.
