Request for Immediate Account Closure Without Charges
Dear Jio Payment Bank Team,
As per my rights under RBI guidelines, I am requesting the closure of my savings account with your bank. I have been asked to maintain Rs. 236 to process the closure, which I find to be an unfair and unauthorized charge.
As per RBI’s circular on BSBDA and savings accounts, no such closure charges are applicable if the account has been active for more than a year or is a zero-balance account.
Please close my account immediately without asking for any balance to be maintained or charges to be paid, failing which I will be forced to escalate this to the RBI’s Banking Ombudsman.
