Great video Tom! I’ve seen reports of users having issues with the TV freezing and having to do a power cycle several times a day. Did you have any similar issues? Very tempted by Sky Glass, but worried about the concerns some users have expressed!
It feels like marrying Sky. You are tied in forever or at least the 10 years or so most people will keep this for. But the TV side tech is dated now but with Sky software from 2023. No VRR, no inbuilt storage you get from a Sky Q box and 60Hz refresh rate is very much 2017.
Hi
Just waiting for mine to come I got a brilliant renewal. Question I live we’re I can’t get sky Q so I still have my Sky + HD box which I keep. Is there any way that this could be used as an external storage device?
So who is the maker of this tv??
Absolute crap.
They can’t come take their telly back quick enough.
It’s like going back in time but not in a good way.
Low-fi.
You can get a second hand LG C1 for half the price and then spend the extra on a good sound bar or just save it, either way you're getting a better experience than sky glass.
I would get sky glass as long get rid Stv and bbc Scotland so only get English channels….
Do I need to get more sky remotes
Very good presentation keeping it all straightforwardly simple.
Sky won't even let their customer complaint form work nor do they give out an email. It's really unsatisfactory
130ms input delay for gaming
so Sky sponsored you to say nice things about this awful product!! lol
Sky advised me not to get one because my sky broadband isn’t fast enough!!!!!
Max peak brightness is 460 nit's on sky glass. I've heard it drops to around 300 nits on HDR content. Perhaps your brightness tester is broken
I still like freesat as sky glass keeps dropping out
Only the brain-dead would buy into this
Paid shill review. The sky glass TV picture is very poor quality.
Is this TV worth buying a year later?
I'm sitting here waiting for mine to be delivered! The big bugbear for most people seems to be the lack of recording ability. I don't see it as much of an issue! Because, unless you're watching a live broadcast, everything you watch is obviously pre-recorded. The network decides to make their recordings available from a given date. Instead of recording it locally, ie: on a built-in hard drive, you access the original recording when you want. We do this with music apps, Instead of listening to a CD, so why not do it with your TV? Also, be honest, who manages to watch everything they have recorded! The only issue I can see would be if the network stopped making a particular recording available, for licencing reasons or whatever. Other than that no problem.
STV in England?
