It is very common all over india those who have power of incumbency or money they want to do any how..! It is responsible only political people's & theirs relatives fellows..
Not only illegal mining, but anything which is illegal facilitated to pursue by the ppl in power, can't be stopped. Lawmakers intended to harm will make loophole laws to exploit either legally or illegally.
I am from a city in madhya pradesh.
Here a certain caste/community is responsible for all the illegal Sand mining and no government institute can do anything against them . Why?
1- they form a huge vote bank for not just one MLA but 4 M.P seats
2- illegal money gathering for funding of political party is done here.
3- sand and stone mining are done under an MLA and crossing the dumper trucks are done by another elected political leader.
4- everyone makes money in this political leader , criminal leader , goons ,police , DGP, ADGP , SP , Collector.
5- no one cares how many common people died till today every one can be made silent.
Maybe we,the people of the nation should do something too just visit the place as tourists .make time and popularise it by taking selfies of your visit.visit aravali challenge …. These should be challenges that people should do(not ice bucket challenges) and when people are so invested in something good things happen .I'm sure good attention will be given from that point onwards from govt too
To stop this may be
1. Govt can provide alternative work/jobs for people working in those mines
2.seize all the vehicles working in mines after strict warnings
3.community awareness about the damage that mining causes to them personally and to environment
4. Use force strictly as a last option
5. Continous surveillance and immediate action
Very sad.
Had DSP knew shatrubodh. Had he done poorvapaksha. Had he followed concept of dharma. This wouldn't have been the case. Bharat has lost several loyal IAS IPS officers.
Taking action without knowing the environment won't solve the problem. Now doesn't matter what, DSP won't come back. This is irreparable & irreversible loss.
The illegal mining can be located with the use of technology but it will not work if there is nexus with politicians so in this case an active local participation is necessary to bring out this issues in public domain to pressurise the party in share.
Veerappan smuggling of Red Sandlewood killed one IPS Officer, illegal Sand mining in whole country, killing of Police Officer in AP, now in Haryana. These incidents become common in India. And people don't mobilize for it because they don't see directly their self interest.
This incident reminds me of similar incident of Madhya Pradesh of 2012, where Narendra Kumar, an IPS officer was crushed to death by illegal mining gang. BJP was in Power in M.P & BJP is in power in Haryana now.
If such incident had occured in any Congress ruled state then the saffron party would have come on road beating their chest citing example of Law & Order in UP.
There are 2 possibilities,
1) The deceased was an honest cop he performed his duty.Whereas the Mafiya might have already given due share to the concerned minister/Person in charge. So he did not paid heed to dsp & eliminated him.
2)He was not a person of ethics like other police men & tried to stop the vehicle for his share.
I have seen both type of police officers probability of 2nd one is more, because honesty is rare in civil police of our country.
May his soul rest in peace.
Sir illegal mining as to regulated through creating awareness in the region so that when people encounter this act they should inform authorities ( maintain anonymity of the informer so that more people may participate) more over cut down the nexus between illegal miners and the officials and politicians and bring transparency in the system.
We should use GPS to monitor. It's purely a lack of political will as they benefit a lot from this illegal mafia
If mining is taking place, it is not like the mined material will be carried on bikes!! Keeping a track on Heavy vehicles could provide the solution atleast for the short term.
I was desperately waiting for FRP on this issue…
Thanks FRP Sir
Sir this is not possible without politician and police support, first politicians and police who are supporting mafias must be hunted and booked, then all the mafias must be taught a lesson and those who still continue should be encountered.
justice is not served in India so it time for retributive justice, like what happened in disha case.
Classic case of politicization of crime. The state government cannot be expected to control illegal mining, when they receive money from the mining mafia.
Only a Sc monitored probe involving central agencies can help.
Sir, MHA can do something if there's enough political will. Nab the politicians and cops in nexus, use drones/satellite imagery/appropriate technology for surveillance in the suspected areas. Bring in the bsf/ capf/army if needed. Aravallis cannot be thrown to the wolves like this. Our nation simply cannot afford that ecological loss.
I live in Aravallis in Gujarat. Aravallis are beautiful. They provide stability, shelters, fodder and much more needed ecosystem to us. Protect them. Greed of man is destroying planet in the name of progress.
