Much appreciated!!! I realize you "don't recommend it," but this phone number garbage is a total nuisance! I have had old phone numbers attached to accounts that have 2 step verification for other things, and if you no longer have that number it makes things difficult… It took me almost a year to find an old bank account number attached to a paypal account once… Here I was on my main email that I use, and they wouldn't let me detach my email address from the paypal account so that I could set up another one… These "verification" processes do more damage to people than "securing" anything… If you're going through financial straits (like a recession) and you have to shut down secondary phone lines, having other communication means like email accounts shut down on you, on top of the trouble you're already having makes things that much more difficult… The last thing you need is to have your email inaccessible to you after getting your phone service shut off… But that's exactly what you're setting yourself up for by tying these communication methods together like this… Plus it feels like "big brother" policing you… A 15 digit password is almost impossible to crack… THAT'S PLENTY OF SECURITY!!! No need for all these other hoops to jump through that cause nothing but more problems!!!!
