I think it worked but it didn't work right away. My phone basically freaked out when I uninstalled the updates for Google Play Services. I logged back into my account and the Play Store still wouldn't open. A few minutes passed and it decided to update itself on it's own. Now it works but it may not for long. The Play Store on my phone has stopped working numerous times already. It may be my phone or the app. I have no clue. I don't want to have to reset my phone.
THIS REALLY WORKED! I tried every other solution but without effect. I was down to returning to factory settings which you do not want to do on a phone that is customized over the years.

The only item missing is that my phone then asked me to upgrade the Google Play Services app, which was just pressing the UPDATE button when asked.
