Minecraft / Microsoft is gonna start permanently deleting un-migrated Minecraft accounts starting THIS YEAR !! I think it’s understandable but not being handled in the best way. What do you think?

Another method for FRP

The only method to deactivate a Samsung account from a phone without a password is to contact Samsung to locate and delete the account. If you wish to begin the procedure on your Samsung phone, follow the comprehensive instructions below.

  1. Unlock your phone, then launch the Samsung phone settings app from the app drawer.
  2. Scroll down until you see "Cloud and Accounts." Also, on the next page, select the "Accounts" tab.
  3. Then, from the choices, select "Samsung Accounts" and then "My profile." When prompted to enter your email address and password on the account screen, select "Forgot your ID and Password." A popup will appear on the screen; from there, select your preferred browser.
  4. A prompted browser prompts you to enter your ID and password, as well as your email address. After that, Samsung will send you an email with a link to reset your password.
  5. Return to your Samsung account settings and select "Remove Account" from the top-right menu bar.

  1. I play on Bedrock Edition and I had to update my phone and guess what it took me off of my account I lost it and I cannot sign back in I can't use a different account email or nothing my account got deleted by Microsoft

  2. Yeah. I've had issues trying to migrate my account since it was offered. Now I'm just sad and don't want to give a different company more money just to play a game I bought and loved.

It's like suddenly needing to pay to do your laundry in the same laundry room you've used for free for 5 years.

  3. This is illegal you know, for as long as a company is around if you own a copy of their product they need to continue providing access to it, when Microsoft bought Mojang they also agreed to take on the responsibility of upkeeping the old user account architecture even if they want new accounts to use their account architecture.

The security argument is just an excuse as two factor authentication was never required, and it's already able to be used without migrating. Microsoft just wants to force players to agree to THEIR terms of service which basically allows them to delete your account for any reason since your copy of the game isn't yours anymore, it's just a license that can be revoked. You see proof of this with them permanently banning users Java accounts because the users said mean words in the chat and banning users for griefing public non-mojang owned servers.

Even if what they said about two factor was true, if security was their concern they wouldn't be deleting people's accounts, a deleted account is much worse than an account that MIGHT be hacked in the future. None of it holds up to logic.

  4. I lost access to my old account. Deleted the old email and tried to talk with the support for moths to no avail, I could log in to the account correct password and email. But I couldn’t switch email. While when the same thing happened on my epic games account I got a reply a couple of hours later and got my account back. Huge difference

  5. You can't even play on your minecraft account if you can't migrate it so i dont understand what is the problem. They gave several years too. A lot of people in the OG community are happy about this because usernames are going to be freed up.
