He says he was only offered a NatWest account on Thursday night after he'd gone very public about the bank throwing him to the kerb.
He says NatWest have offered him a personal account but not a business account however he cannot operate his personal account without his business account because his business account generates all his income.
He further says that he has spent 10 years below the Coutts wealth eligibility thresholds without a comment from Coutts.
Coutts say he's being kicked out for falling below wealth thresholds not because he's a PEP (politically exposed person).
Farage says he's not been able to get an account anywhere else either because he's a PEP.
Looks to my untrained eye that Coutts or its parent NatWest has booted him out for being a a PEP using the mendacious excuse that it's for falling below wealth limits (10 years late if Farage is to be believed)

I and my husband are ordinary working people, and not highly paid, It's too easy to use the cards, we used cash to help us close our overdraught and keep to a budget, it helped us be wiser with our money. We used it keep a tight control on money when our 2 kids went to university. We managed for them to finish without any debt. We kept to a budget to save towards retirement, it's much harder to get you to spend money when it's cash than swipe a card, I think debt's will rise and cause misery to more families if cash is removed.

I hope to see the end of credit cards, also. I have never needed a credit card in my life. People who cannot live within their means should not be given a credit card. It's like selling a person drugs and being hooked like a fish with no future. The property of the credit card company or the bank concerned.
