Another method for FRP
The only method to deactivate a Samsung account from a phone without a password is to contact Samsung to locate and delete the account. If you wish to begin the procedure on your Samsung phone, follow the comprehensive instructions below.
- Unlock your phone, then launch the Samsung phone settings app from the app drawer.
- Scroll down until you see "Cloud and Accounts." Also, on the next page, select the "Accounts" tab.
- Then, from the choices, select "Samsung Accounts" and then "My profile." When prompted to enter your email address and password on the account screen, select "Forgot your ID and Password." A popup will appear on the screen; from there, select your preferred browser.
- A prompted browser prompts you to enter your ID and password, as well as your email address. After that, Samsung will send you an email with a link to reset your password.
- Return to your Samsung account settings and select "Remove Account" from the top-right menu bar.

If you really think this is Ubisoft trying to sneak your games away from you so you buy them again you're an idiot.

Ye all looking for legitimate reasons to cling onto dusty old boxes.
Come 20 years from now you'll all be rushing to find digital copies of your physical games that dont work any more cos the discs corroded, or the cartridge just plain broke or got lost.
Nothing is permanent.
Digital games need to become you own them the key and the data with it
The issue here isn't just the games being digital. The main issue is ubisoft is deciding to delete your account, and then they claim "if you choose to delete your account, you won't be able to play the games your purchased, even on steam".
I think EU laws have something to say about one-sided removing items a consumer has paid money for. Sure, gamers still don't own their games, that ship has long sailed, but the EU looks pretty harshly at companies taking money and just removing access to the thing they're taking money for. Especially in this case where they take the action to delete your account, then state "if you choose to delete your account" etc.

I waited till season 1 to start playing Diablo. FML. Seriously considering demanding a refund.
This isn't a digital vs physical issue, it's a DRM issue.
They don't need to come round and take your physical copy for it to not be playable. My physical copy of Overwatch 1 will no longer work. My physical copy of Spore can no longer be played.
Hell, I believe any reasonably modern Ubisoft game requires a uplay account even if you install it from the disk??
However any game I've downloaded from GoG can be played forever even if GoG closes down.

Not sad about Ubisoft deleting inactive accounts. They’re inactive for a reason, and keeping personal data in the books poses a huge security risk.
Ubisoft literally sends out a generic phishing email and expects people to click the link….
Ok at least they are sending out emails first I mean we are reaching an year when as sad as it is some gamers will no longer be with us and their is no one to carry on the accounts so there just dead data that’s taking up needed space.
Basically I’m torn as on the one hand I was outraged when I first heard they were deleting account them my rational brain kicked in and was like wait here is a counter argument as to why it’s not a bad idea even if they are just doing it to save money (because apparently firing staff to cut costs so the higher ups can get bigger payoffs wasn’t enough).
If Ubisoft had any games worth pirating, this would be a pretty good opportunity to bring up that one Gaben quote.

Thankfully the only Ubisoft game I own is a free game. Big yikes, this is something I'll consider every time there's a Ubisoft game.
Physical media is king…. I had this problem a few years back after my families PlayStations got stolen in a burglary… Sony said I had to buy everything again as you could only download to 3 systems before the purchase became void…

Surely that's gotta be against some anti consumerism law, but hey I keep telling people to buy physical whenever possible.
