  1. Sounds like a lot of unresearched speculation. It's not only who is seing the add but by clicking it. You can messure it. Also Twitter is tied to google searches the more people write the more content will be seen as search resoult as google and it will drive more traffict to the site and more even uregistered users will see the adds. Less users less traffic. Less Clicking.

  2. Sam is way off on this one. Elon does care about the number of users. He wants profits AND the influence. He wants to sway elections. He wants to control narratives, especially about himself. He wants to amplify right-wing voices and suppress left-wing ideas like taxing the rich. His people are tweaking the algorithm as I write this. More users = more influence for the cringy trust-fund psycho Elon Musk. You SHOULD delete your twitter.

  3. Anyone who thinks Twitter is somehow going away because Elon liquidated the engineers there, doesn't know much about the tech industry. There's absolutely NO solidarity among developers. This is why you'll NEVER see unionizing in that field, EVER. There are plenty of scabs that'll race to fill those spots for far less pay and put in way more hours.

  4. Every single cybercrime ring, hostile intelligence service and every single wannabe hacker are trying to steal Twitter data right now, and, considering the chaos, they'll probably eventually succeed. Deleting your account may or may not make a difference if your data would be in that.

  5. You should however delete any payment information on the website, and any personal information – name, address, DOB, etc – that's ever been posted on it: With 88% of the almost 8,000 employees now fired, the platform is going to soon become unstable and overrun with hackers.

If you've been posting personal information for years, and would have to delete thousands of tweets to remove it all, probably easier to delete the whole account.

  6. People have been deleting their accounts because of the negativity / hate / shitstorms and many other things, @Sam.
Don't tell people what to do with their accounts, when you don't know anything about IT or people's mental health.
By staying on social media platforms, you are not fighting for free speech. You are being a good sl@ve to our corporate overlords who profit off of our attention through marketing and other profitable schemes.

  7. You all deleted your accounts and couldn't vote if you you wanted Trump back on or not. If you had stayed maybe your votes could have amounted to something.

  8. What if, In the context of potential turmoil in the USA, the real goal was to destroy Twitter as it is with the support of many Right Wing billionaires to absorb the financial lost (or even governmental support).
Remember Twitter was pivotal in the Arab Spring.
It would be one of the primary goal of a fascist government to get rid of that thing.
Why not get rid of it preemptively ?

  9. Ok, from now on, i would make it a rule to create new twitter accounts every single day and tweet&re-tweet lefty stuff only to harass those advertisers&investers.

  10. Lmao Matt is truly the worst of them all. His response like "sure you can but you won't get your handle back" like dude way to miss the point and bring up something no one cares about.

  11. Just constantly troll musk on twitter till he bans you.

The "free speach space karen" has a very fragile ego.

Btw: I had my account deleted. Twitter always was toxic, but now it's even worse. No reason to stay…

  12. Hi! Established Titles is a scam. I actually fell for it and just got my money back. It's important for you all to double check your sponsors before pushing it out to your viewers. Thanks!

  13. Revenue is driven by how many people spend how much time.. Does this guy think 6000 people will provide same revenue as 600M? People complaining is people interacting.

  14. I am French et Je vais ouvrir un compte sur Twitter pour soutenir la Liberté d'Expression qui est pour moi essentielle ! Merci Mr Musk. I will take a Twitter account to support The
Freedom ! Thank you Mr Elon Musk.

  15. A more relevant analogy is to compare it to voting. People disgusted with Trump and/or Elon can simply state that they will no longer vote. That won't have much effect. Voting AGAINST someone, or voting for the other candidate will have more effect. Republican strategy is to LIMIT voting by demographic groups they don't want.
